Advertising and marketing executives allow Web surfing during office hours

In offices that use little to no creative work, surfing the net during office hours may be considered taboo and is prohibited by the company. Some websites are even blocked from access, most especially social networking websites.

This is contrary to what executives of marketing and advertising firms say. A significant majority of these executives actually allow non-work-related web surfing as this may help the workers get more ideas.
