Website Copywriter Interview

Name of your website?

Website Copywriter

Your name?

Ciara Carruthers

Your Location (city, etc)

Barcelona

Please give us a short summary of your website?

My website is a mixture of; firstly, promoting my services as a website copywriter and secondly, a budding information base for people trying to promote and create a successful website.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Well, I created my very first website, which was about raw food, approximately four years ago. Whilst doing it, I learned a lot about what goes into creating a good website. It's more than just making something aesthetically attractive. You need to have great content, lots of it, and also, lots of links pointing into your site. It's an equation unto itself and most people don't reach high enough in order to achieve. The equation is quite simple but it takes a lot of work. Writing the text is the most time consuming part and when I realized it was something which I do well, and that it is something which others need, I launched myself as a website content writer.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

In my humble opinion, my website differs in that I specifically promote myself as a writer of information centers. These information centers can be added to any site and will, without a doubt, increase traffic. Most writers focus on building the core of the website, which is something that I also do. However, the addition of 30 or more pages of excellent information, i.e. an 'information center' will really catapult any website into google success and therefore, monetary success.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

My eventual goal is to morph the website into a whirlpool of valuable information, all information which I have learned along the way, on how to create a successful website.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I don't invest money into my website, I invest time. It is time that really builds the website. Some people don't have time, and so they hire a writer, such as myself. No matter what, adding content is the important part of the website. It is the core. It is what all website owners should aim for; an abundance of excellent content.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would hire another quality writer to help me build my own information center!

What has been your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge has been getting over the initial pathetic trickle of traffic. Building traffic REALLY takes time. It takes a lot of persistence and one must stay super focused on the end result.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Not to toot my own service here, but the addition of content has, without a doubt, been the most successful method.

What's your favorite food?

Sashimi.

What is your website address?
