We provide services to Small and Medium sized business in the UK, the services we provide are Web Design and Development, Web Hosting and Domain Name Registration, Graphic Design, Accounts and Bookkeeping.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Small businesses in the UK do not get a fair deal when it comes certain key services like web design, graphic design, accounts and bookkeeping, we aim to provide small businesses in the UK with an opportunity to receive a better service all within their budget without compromising quality. We provide a few services so we are in a position to provide a number of key services and therefore provide our clients with value for money.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
We launched our first website in May of 2002
How did you decide on a name for your website?
It was a name we came up with while putting our business plan together many years ago.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
We are a one stop provider which means we provide a mixture of services which no one else provides this saves our clients having to find for example different providers for things like web design accounting services and graphic design services. This way we can provide our clients with an enhanced level of service.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To keep the business and help as many start up, small amd medium sized businesses as possible.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
I invest alot of time and money in to my business and my business reflects the investments very nicely. I would say its above satisfactory.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would like to help start up, small and medium sized businesses in other countries and also the not-so-privliged countries too.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes I think we would, we have great teams and departments setup and we could comfortably expand really quickly if it was required.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Finding premises, relocation of office due to expansion.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Our biggest challenge has been finding the right staff, we strive to hire the best people for the job which involves alot of searching, interviewing and testing and sometimes getting it wrong (but that mostly happened in the early stages of the business) now we are as sharp as nails when it comes to selected the right staff.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Word of mouth and the Internet has been great for the promotion of our business/website
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It hasnt differed from my expectations, running a business has differed a little but thats life, if you keep at it you finally realise your dreams. The key thing is to stick at it until you do and never give up.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Its been around for a couple of years I intend to keep running until I retire then pass it on to some else to run.
What would you advise start up or small businesses regarding having a website?
I would say test the market see what other people have on offer then come to us and see for yourself how we are a cut above the rest, or you skip all that and contact us today to see how we can help you start of your busines on the right foot... and also, discipline & organisation is key when it comes to running a business, work out a way which makes it fun for you and try to enjoy your work if you dont then dont get in to and do something you enjoy because if you enjoy your work you'll make it work guaranteed! if you dont enjoy it then you are more likely not be successful and give up when you face the first few major hurdles.
