CHPWeb Design Services Interview

By Interviewer at 09/23/07 03:10

Name of your website?

CHPWeb Design Services

Your name?

Carlos Jordan

Your Location (city, etc)

Charlotte

Please give us a short summary of your website?

The one stop shop for all website needs. We will design your website, host your website, create flyers, brochures and business cards to match your website.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I felt like people were getting a disservice with their current web designer, images were low quality, no time whatsoever being put in the project. Their business cards were crappy no one would look at the card longer than 5 seconds. We really wanted to give the customer something that they would be satisfied with.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Well we decided to name our company CHPWeb Design. The CHP in our name stands for Creative Home Pages, because that is what we will create for any client.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I intend on expanding our services to other major countries outside of the U.S.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would finally expand to promote T-shirt design by Issac Fritz and Photography services by Frank Balthazar and Braden Keith.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes we would be able to keep up with the demand, because that means money is coming in and we would hire more people to be able to house the demand.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None thus far.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Well when we first decided we wanted to do this business, we invested every penny we had laying around the house in it. There were no investors and no loans, we were down to about 0 dollars in the bank. There were times that we had no idea when we would see our next meal, or how our lights would be paid, faith was all we had left. We didn't see our first client for 2 months, we successfully completed that project, still no more clients for another 3 weeks. After that client was taken care of we began recieving phone calls left to right, people asking about what we offered, what we could do for them and now all we have to do is wake up and get to the office and everything is there. So our biggest challenge was getting the first 6 customers.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Referrals

Is there anyone specific that you would like to thank for your Success?

Yes, I have a list of people I would love to thank. I'll first start with my brother, Kalvin Jordan. I would love to thank my mother, Rose Jordan, my grandmother, Jessie Johnson, Harold Cogdell, Jr. Wilbert Leornard, Trinity Brown for always believing in me. The entire staff over at Qdoba Mexican Grill, Charlotte.

What is your website address?

CHPWeb Design makes some really professional and creative sites. I'd go to them first before anyone else. Look up their previous projects.
