Mid 2006 to promote my web design freelance business

It's basically a window to my services. It obviously shows my portfolio for potential clients to see and get excited about.

PHP

The visual design.

What was your biggest mistake?

Er not sure.

Me. Cos it's only me here!

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

It's brought in business that I would otherwise not have had.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

Well for one, it's here to stay. I can't ever see the high street disappearing becasue the clued up retailers are also online so they can afford to run high street shops too. In the future though I wouldn't be surprised if high street stores served mostly as showrooms for people before buying online.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

Complicated!

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

I like them. No hindering.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Listing with large directories like Yell.com

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

local advertising (in parish magazines etc)

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

nothing really. i like it the way it is.
