deVision is a professional web design and devlopment business. Our site is a place for prospective customers to view our web design and development portfolio.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Being that we are a web design firm, it's very important to present our work online.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Our first website was launched in 2002 and was a basic personal blog style website.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
The name of our site is based on the name of our business deVision Web Design and Development. deVision was named after my son, Devin or Devi for short. So devi became DEVIsion which could also be translated to "of vision" which is essentially what all of our work is, of a vision.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
Our website is no more or less unique than other professionally built sites. Our design firm is what is unique and since our site highlights our service, in that way it is rather unique since our work is unique.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My goal is for this site to continue to grow with our company.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
It is absolutely true that the more devoted you are to your site, the bigger the payoff.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I don't think we'd make any changes. Our site serves its purpose completely.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
We are prepared to keep up with demand because we can handle a very large workload. Our professionals are proficient in their work.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Everything has honestly gone pretty well.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Competing for work with larger companies as pertaining to a world wide audience.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Professional associations and online it has been banner advertisement in the form of permanent real estate.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Our expectations have clearly been exceeded.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
This site is a new one and has only been up for a few months. We are currently migrating our traffic from a previous site. Our staff is trained to keep up with website popularity. It is our business.
What makes your web design business different from others?
First of all, we are professionally trained. Our operations are based strongly on ethical guidelines. We value our business and provide our customers with exceptional work and a strong relationship.
