Name of your website?

Hot Springs Website Design

Your name?

Brian Buckley

Your Location (city, etc)

Hot Springs

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Hot Springs Website Design offers affordable website design and devolpment to anyone in need of an online presence. Our primary focus is on the greater Hot Springs area but our services are available to anyone.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I felt there was a need for affordable website design solutions in the Hot Springs area. Hot Springs Web Design offers a basic 3 page website at $99.00.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

My first website was built in 1998 for a small business I owned. I played around with it for a couple of years and finally figured out the whole design process in 2003, with some help from the local college.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I thought Hot Springs Web Design was a great name because the name says it all right there. Hopefully the search engines will agree...

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Because I take each website project personally and act as if that website is an impression of me and my work.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I intend on keeping Hot Springs Web Design for a very long time. Designing websites are fun to me and what better way to make an income than from something you enjoy doing.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

My investment on time and money have far outweighed my success, but I feel like in order for this website to be successful it takes a lot of time, effort and money.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

With a healthy budget I could deploy heavy search engine tactics to gain higher traffic and take on a broader customer base.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I have enough friends in the industry and leads to excellent designers that if the demand for websites increased, I would be able to hire additional help and work as a team of designers.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Not much of any really, I have jumped through so many hoops in the past with other companies that I have worked for.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Everyday is a challenge trying to manage between a full-time job and managing my own web design business is a handful. Since I don't have a huge supply of cash to fund my website, I am substituting with large amounts of elbow grease.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Word of Mouth, Since I have aimed my website at a local market. It seems once people know that you can design a website, they or someone they know needs a website.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I didn't think it would take so much work to get a good placement on search engines in a local market. As most of you know it's hard competing against national companies with huge budget buying up keywords.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

1 month. I started back in school this semester and wanted to start a website that I thought would be of interest and affordable to everyone I know.

What was the name of your website again?

Hot Springs Website Design or www.hotspringsweb.info

What is your website address?

Hot Springs Website Design
