Please give us a short summary of your website?
A web site design company aimed at the smaller business market, where designing a professional website does not mean very expensive. The site offers a new concept, a Client Database and property matching product for Estate Agents, something special and new, enabling them to be first back to the Client.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Have you ever heard of a web design company without its own web site?
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I have been writing web sites for businesses on Tenerife for about six years.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Inspiration from the web itself.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
No other web site business (to my knowledge) is offering Client database technology for the Estate Agency market, that dynamically matches all clients on the database to properties the instant they are added, and continues to do so, the sales people are one step in fornt of the competitors.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Marketing good ideas has got to be aim, there are many Web Desigh companies in Tenerife, mainly offering the same product.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Too early to tell at the moment, although the product is proven, the market place is new.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
One step at a time I think here. We have two Estate Agents using the product on Tenerife with success, we need to learn the lessons of these two valuable Clients before pressing the development.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Sadly no, I am reluctant to employ others unless the have a similar Client care attitude.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
None at the moment. Although I did find an excellent internet host here on the Island in Sorted Sites, as good as they get.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Business Launch, getting into an established market with a new name is never easy.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
The internet itself. If you cant get your own site high in the search engines, how do you expect to do the same for clients.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
So far so good on this one.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
The site has been up one month. Progress in such a competitive field always slow, but the product is new, so lets see.
They said it will never take off
Its only those people who have never tried who can tagged as a failure. Those who have tried but without success will always sleep well, and have succeded.
