What inspired you to launch your own website?
Working for someone that believed that you could just use templates for web design, so that everyone was getting about the same thing.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Early in 2000, it was called Myfox.com. It was inspired by a stuffed TY fox that my son took everywhere.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Brainstorming, brainstorming, brainstorming.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
A lot of companies use the template approach where you choose your template and they change some stuff around in it to make it what you like. We, on the other hand, design custom code to make it what you truly want.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My goal is to finish building my business and move home to Ireland, family roots are drawing me back.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Only time will tell.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would get the top listing in google adwords.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Upgrade my current employees to full time.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Deadlines ...
What has been your biggest challenge?
Deadlines ... trying to launch my newest site, bidpie.com.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Word of mouth so far

No
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Just shy of 6 months currently, I will keep it up for atleast another year and a half.
What would you change about the whole experience?
Nothing
