We are a Chicago web 2.0 design company that specializes in search engine optimization, web design, viral marketing, and strategic web planning for our customers
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I am in the business of web design and development.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I have been involved in web design since 1996 when I launched my first website at www.birkey.com
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I used my last name because it was available in 1996.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Our company is involved in helping customers with the newer cutting-edge developments in the "Web 2.0" world. This means advising them on such topics as RSS Feeds, Blogging, social networks, online community, content management systems, user generated content, mash-ups, and much more.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To continue building the business, focusing on larger business clients and non-profit organizations.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
I've invested my full-time efforts in this field since 1996 and am still making a good living at it.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I am constantly changing the site anyway. I have a virtually unlimited budget so I can do new things and experiment. The http://headstand.mobi site is a mobile development site for our main company site at http://headstandmedia.com
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes. We are hosted at a good Internet service provider that can handle it.

None.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Focusing on gaining high naural results in the search engines on highly searched terms such as" chicago web design, search engine optimization, etc.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
None
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I've been running sites since 1996. I'm not planning on stopping any time soon.
What else do you like to do?
Play Dobro in a bluegrass band.
