Trackbacks seem to be broken thank god for Technorati and Y! tells us how lucky we are because Technorati is the only decent source to tell us who has linked to our blogs.I disgree. Technorati has too many blogs it doesn't track at all, or update for almost a year. Also in the past couple days they are showing the wrong posts.
There are two problems with trackbacks. First they scream, SPAM ME. Second they are depending on special programming on both ends!
The real answer has been with you since the begining, your server log files. These will tell you with who is referring to your website. If you are worried about referral spam, just read the referring page and see if your link is on it. You need to do that with trackbacks anyway.
No trackbacks.

yep, logfiles are great you are right. Webaliser does a pretty good job.I like technorati as it adds a social side to the metric. You dont get that with log stats.
As for the trackback and SPAM ME view - its an inevitability of trying to form conversations across networks. Trckbacks are great for that and IMO worth the moderate hassle of pruning the odd spammy trackback.
Nice blog you have here, thanks for the reference
