BID: Bidding Directories Grand Opening AeroSpect Media Network is proud to announce the opening of three new bidding directories. I checked one of these directories and the top bid seemed to be $1. Now, I wonder how much value that will be to a person listing a site in the directory. I also wonder how worth it is for the directory to spend all their time collecting a dollar from customers. Yeah, if a million people give me a dollar each... but what is their transaction cost?YEAH RIGHT: How much is your website worth? Find out with dnScoop dnScoop is an online tool that bunches many popular domain lookup tools into one. Another worthless domain valuation tool. What is the point of having a web page make up an arbitrary $ figure for your website. Remeber your website is worth exactly what someone will pay. Not a penny more or less. The only way to get that figure is to find a buyer. BORING: Who Else Wants A Website that Handles like a Porsche Who Else Wants A Website that Handles like a Porsche? Well, I would like a website that handles like a website! SEO: Ask the Experts: Am I Giving Away SEO Secrets? Are you giving away secrets when you provide SEO recommendations? The do it yourselfers will pick up some tips.. as might the comptetion, but it certainly won't harm their business as someone wanting to hire them aren't do it yourselfers. SEO: BAD SEOS BEWARE: Google personalized is here! As an SEO, I am constantly trying to dispel search myths and misconceptions to the best of my little ability. A fairly good commentary on SEO... but misses the point of "what keywords". The keywords the client is obsessed with... or the keywords their clients actually use? My comments in Italic. Why not list which ones use nofollow href tags and nofollow meta tags? Most directories suck and could do a whole lot better My friend Lyndon was talking about SMO (Social Media Optimisation) and directories the other day and pissed a couple of people off. Most directories seem to be clones of each other. Got an SEO Question? Ask Me Well, as a follow-up to my recent post Got an S E O Question? But it is the war and peace kinda answers that will do everyone some good! Viral Marketing - what is it and why should you care? Too bad we aren't all the marketing geniuses that the viral marketing promoters hope we can be. Come to think of it, I've never need a viral marketing scheme being promoted by effective viral marketing! Ask the Experts: Will W3C Validation Affect My Search Engine Rankings? The short answer is "No." While we advocate W3C validation as a general web development best practice, we are not aware of any direct... The way it can have a direct effect on the search engines and users is by catching mistakes in your tags that might cause large blocks of text to be unseen by both! My comments in Italic. SEO: The new Google Patent and the new quality guidelines provides a great analysis of the new Google Patent issues on April 26, 2007.When reading it remember that the patent is a theory. Google may use all the techniques describe it exclusively. They may not use any of them and/or they may use techniques for indexing and ranking pages. The best technique for fighting spammers is disinformation to send them on wild goose chases. What better than to patent stuff you don't use? You can ignore all these patent formulas is you create a useful and interinteresting experience for your users, remembering that the search engines basically read text; ie: your flash and graphic files won't provide them much food. You should also take the automated web page generation programs, templates and the like and shove them where the sun don't shine! Tags: google patent • seo • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

This forum post will report on progress using vBSEO some kind of SEO script for bulletin boards. Now this forum thread seems to have everything checking some external statistics about their site and apparently they will sit on the edge of their chairs everyday seeing how good things go. Now, the first problem with this is that SEO is not a question of what happens with your website tomorrow, but how it will perform over the next 10 or 20 years! Secondly, the only valid measurement of your website is not how many links are in good, a 1-10 rating Google or some other website gives you (based mostly on nofollowed links). The only valid measurement is how much money you earn (profitAll other values are completely bogus. Will vBSEO work? Who knows. Tags: seo • vbseo • 0 Comments. - Permalink |
