A lot of people, most notably newbies to the industry, think that buying a domain name and hosting and simply leaving it parked will generate a lot of money. This is probably true for domain names that also happen to be hot keywords, but for most of the others, this does not seem to work.
This is because a lot of competitors are also practicing parked domain SEO. And, yes, SEO means a lot of work.
