Despite the fact that the owner this blog does not use Flash, I can wholeheartedly say that Flash is indeed on of the greatest digital inventions ever created. Its versatility is just wow.Infinitely many things can be done with your website, thanks to Flash technology. Some of those are the page turning effects.

[Ed note: and flash is the fastest way I know of to send people away from your website, never to return... if you can actually get them to come in the first place. The same goes for "page turning" and other obnoxious effects. If I want to be "entertained" I'll go to a movie or turn on the TV. If I want to read pages, I certainly don't want crippled navigation or spastic special effects on my screen, I want the TEXT in a clean, easy to ready and navigate format. -Wilbur]
