Please give us a short summary of your website?
Web site defines search engine optimization (SEO) and explains why it is important for small businesses to consider optimizing their web sites. Site acknowledges SEO can be expensive, and describes ways in which we can make it affordable. We customize solutions to fit the client's needs and budget. No more, no less.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
A friend in need. She wanted more traffic to her website. I wanted a change in career. We both got what we wanted.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I launched my first website (b-seenontop.com) in the summer of 2007. I have launched three others since then.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I looked for something available along the lines of "b-seenontop of search engine results", to make the intent of the website clear.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
My website offers do-it-yourself instructions along with ways to chunk the work so that it becomes affordable. My website hones in on two much-talked-about and needed aspects of search engine optimization - organic or natural SEO and local search.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To become the go-to web site for organic and local search engine optimization on the Main Line of Philadelphia.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Not yet. But it will soon.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would outsource some of the more tedious tasks to students seeking extra income and a valuable work experience.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I do not aspire to become really big, really quickly. I want to keep the business small, personalized and highly responsive.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
The cost of a dramatic down-turn in the economy. The headache caused by impending inflation.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Raising my son.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Two methods: internet marketing, and face-to-face sales.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Working with a content management system has not been as easy as I expected.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
The site has been up for two years. At this point I have a 10 year plan.
Why should our readers get in touch with you?
I can get their website to rank in the top 10 within a period of one year if they agree to implement recommended changes. I will set expectations, and then I will exceed them.
