Respected Sir,
I would like to make the proposal that we each put a link on our website to the others site. Hopefully, this will increase the traffic of both sites and provide interest to our readers.
If you are interested link exchange, send me the exact URL that you would like me to use and 200 word description.
I intend to add it to the links page at http://www.mywebspider.com/
If you send your exact URL, we add it at to time on our website.
Plz you also put our site on your web site. Below is the information for my website:
Link Info:
URL: http://www.mywebspider.com/
Title: MywebSpider - Free Web Directory
Description: Mywebspider is a Web Directory which is organized by category, offers rich content with quality websites. Submit URL for editor review and have your site listed within the Web DirectoryMywebspider.
Waiting your reply,
Thanks & Regards
Chirag Shah
Webmaster
There are numerous problems with this email I received supposedly wanting a "link exchange".
First, no one would use "respected sir" to address someone in an email.
In the first paragraph he proposes a link "exchange", yet in his description it would imply there is an editorial review.
"we add it at to time on our website" makes absolutely no sense, though he probably wants to say he will add my link on his website he actually says nothing at all.
There are several other problems. First the web site he snarked my email address from doesn't do link exchanges. If he had actually read the web site he would have known that.
His exchange request is stupid on its face, as he suggests only that "hopefully this will increase both our traffic". What kind of a sales pitch it is that? Did you ever see an advertisement for a diet pill that said "We hope out diet pill will help you lose weight!" hahaha!
There is no indication that these two websites in quesiton here have any relevence at all. The Link info he provides is not customized in any manner what so ever for my site.
This is probably just computer generated spam and is an insult to the intelligence of who ever sent it and an insult to whoever recevied it.
The bottom line is if you want a link exchange you have to break through two extremely tough barriers: 1) unsolicited email is always received with an extremely bad attitude, 2) selling me on a link exchange would be a tough sell even if I was in a good mood to start with!
