Junk websites can be, well, really junky as they tend to populate search engine results if you use a low-end web search engine. But what keeps these junk webmasters to continue their work? It's because there's a lot of money waiting to be picked, thanks to the advertisers!
In relation to this, software giant Microsoft released a paper studying the behavior of junk webmasters and how their deeds resulted to the corruption of search engines. It also proposed a model, a five-layer, double-funnel model, that may be followed by those who make search engine algorithms. Know more about the report here.
