DomainHostingAll provides domain name registration, web hosting, email accounts, SSL certificates, merchant accounts and much more! We provide up to 50 additional products and services, all accounts are free to sign up. Register domain names and add all our other services to your domain instantly from within your domain control panel.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I have always loved the domain name business it's fun, rewarding and addicting. Domain names are becoming a must have commodity among the world, domains are virtual real estate and worth investing in.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
In December of 2002 I launched my first successful domain name registration website (DynoNames.com). Then in 2003 I launched Resellermoney.com a website to sign up to become a domain name reseller. I have also launched 2 more sites, (2004)DomainHostingAll.com and my newest DomainNamePeople.com.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I like to have a name that is catchy or keyword driven. The word "Dyno" is catchy and is compatible wit most other words (DynoNames) and DomainHostingAll and DomainNamePeople are keyword names for better SEO etc.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
I care and have some of the lowest prices anywhere on the internet for domain name registration, web hosting, email accounts etc. I don't spam to get customers. I work at writing about my websites, like I'm doing now.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To keep building my customer base and continue to offer at the lowest price. I plan on building income from my websites and maybe in 30 years I would sell them.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Best decision i ever made was to launch a website. Say bye,bye to the industrial age, were in the information age and there are so many people who still don't realize this transition in the world. The world is a small place now.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
HUGE marketing budget for online advertising and tons of local advertising as well. I would also create some kind of domain name software that I could sell on my developed sites, software is a huge money maker on the internet. Once software is made, it's like free money. That's what I would do.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes, I would instantly hire programmers and a business manager. I know in business that I have to use my strengths in web design etc and hire other people for the skills I don't have...i.e.Business degree, programming etc.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Not much, I spent a lot of money in the beginning learning and hiring a professional SEO company to promote my first website DynoNames.com. Since then I have learned to SEO and design websites and now I'm doing it all on my own. This has saved me tons of money, SEO and Web design can be VERY pricey.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Learning how to SEO correctly and learning how search engines work and how to build incoming links to my websites. Other then that, I just love what I'm doing, a challenge to me is my best learning tool.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
SEO efforts, learning how to get the number 1 page or ranking in all the search engines. It is tough these days, as cooperate companies are buying there search rankings through paid links and adsense. I don't have the big budget and it makes it very difficult to get into the search engine to where you are seen.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Money. I thought i would make more money in the domain name business and perhaps I still will. I think my biggest mistake was hiring the SEO company for DynoNames back in January of 2003 the competition was not that competitive for domain names at that time and my SEO company kept telling me the keywords I wanted to promote DynoNames with were to difficult to acquire. Well, back then I didn't know nothing about websites and promotion and realize now that I could have and should have targeted these keywords. Oh,well hindsights 20/20.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
December of 2002 and still going strong. I plan to keep building and working my website forever. Patients is the key to success on the internet, including building links and adding content. You can't lose if you are in the right internet business and know how to rank a website.
