TIME Magazine recently release on their website their list of 50 Best Websites of 2009 to visit. The magazine however did not indicate if the list is arranged from the best-of-the-best or simply from the best website of 2009.
The list for 2009 is not categorized unlike last year which comes in 5 categories. This year's list starts with Flickr, Yahoo!'s photo and video sharing website. Surprisingly, Yahoo! itself is not included in the TIME's list for 2009.
Microblogging website Twitter is listed at no. 6 and is followed by online messenger, call and text service Skype at no. 7. Google and YouTube are listed at 11 and 12 respectively. Like Yahoo!, Google is also not included in TIME's 2008 list.
Amazon is at no. 20 while no. 27 is the designated number for Wikipedia, my personal favorite website in the list. Famous online community website Facebook is happily listed at no. 33. Rival websites such as MySpace did not make it on the list.
